The Tunisian AI Society (TAIS) was founded to achieve this and encourage Tunisian AI activities. It is a public-private partnership in which governmental authorities, the commercial sector, educational and research institutions and social organizations work together to accelerate AI developments in the Tunisian and link AI initiatives in the country together.

Tunisian Partners

Proactive use of AI is the only way that we – the Tunisians– can help determine how AI will be applied to social and economic challenges and how we can benefit from that. AI is a powerful tool that can help us retain and expand our international competitive position and resolve economic and social questions.

The main objectives are as follows:

  • Build cooperation with key partners to implement in Tunisia innovative AI-related projects that will have societal and economic impacts.
  • Support organizations in Tunisia in terms of AI planning and implementation, and promote the visibility of AI capabilities to the international market.
  • Leverage the geographical reach of the AI Society to create international AI opportunities for Tunisian talent and to mobilize the necessary funding.
  • Supporting Tunisian companies  in their AI approach : Public & Private Sector
  • Build partnerships with public and private higher education or public higher education institutions to narrow the gap between academic and the expectations of the professional world to increase the employability employability of Tunisian graduates.

Actively raise funds to finance innovative AI-driven projects in Tunisia and develop key coalitions promoting the scalability of AI expertise in the country.
