Artificial Intelligence and Data Science technologies are increasingly adopted across multiple sectors in several countries around the world. The use of these technologies has tremendous impacts on individuals, societies and on the global economy. These impacts are expected to deepen in the coming years.
Tunisian AI-oriented talents are shining and multiplying achievements in many sectors and disciplines in Tunisia and around the world. With TAIS, we envision building a Tunisian AI Community that brings together these talents. TAIS include Tunisian academics in Tunisia and in international universities (e.g., Canada, USA, France, Netherlands), AI practitioners in various sectors (tech companies such as Google, Amazon and Meta, financial companies such as Envestnet, Santander and National Bank of Canada, and health system such as Microsoft Health division), and researchers in leading labs and research centers (such as Knowledge Discovery & Web Mining Lab and Efrei Research Lab). The overall objective of this community is to participate in making Tunisia a leading tech hub in AI in the region.
