About <\/span><\/a>Women in Data Science (WiDS)\u00a0 of\u00a0 Stanford University<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Women in Data Science (WiDS)<\/span> initiative aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field. WiDS started as a one-day technical conference at Stanford in November 2015. Five years later, WiDS is a global movement that includes a number of worldwide initiatives:<\/span><\/p>\n

I. A <\/span>conference<\/span> with 150+ regional events worldwide in more than 60 countries, reaching 100,000 participants annually.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

II. <\/span>A <\/span>datathon<\/span>, encouraging participants to hone their skills using a social impact challenge.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

III. <\/span>A <\/span>podcast<\/span> series, featuring data science leaders from around the world talking about their work, their journeys, and lessons learned along the way.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

IV. <\/span>An <\/span>education outreach<\/span> program to encourage secondary school students to consider careers in data science, artificial intelligence (AI), and related field<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

V. <\/span><\/span>A <\/span>workshop<\/span> series to build your data science skills, inspiring women and girls with role model instructors.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
